I grew up near the Bighorn Mountains. Camping along Tensleep Creek more times than I can count, ice skating at Pine Lodge and fishing for Brookies and Rainbow Trout almost every Saturday. Caught my biggest trout ever in the Tensleep.

 One night something very strange happened, more strange than other times. It was just me and my Dad, I was about 12 years old. Around 9 to 10pm, it got quiet, eerie feeling.  I remember my Dad grabbing his revolver and told me to get into our Suburban. He put out the fire, grabbed whatever camp gear we had and we drove all the way home to Gillette that night. I asked him later what happened that night. All he would say was that he knew he couldn’t protect me and we had to leave.

 Another time we were camping near the tree line. I was maybe 7-8 years old. I remember waking up and seeing “a huge man” with his face against the window looking at us sleep. I tried to tell my Dad but when I got him to wake up it was gone.

 We never camped up by the tree line again. Many times we drove home from Buffalo to Gillette and my sister and I thought we saw giants standing on the hillside along the road. She’d tell me they were ghosts and I’d hide. I don’t know if it was Sasquatch but I know we’d see it around the same place every time.

Hi and Thank you for the invite here. I live in BC Canada and have had some sightings here in BC on the mainland & the island by many with many stories from Native people here.

 I have only seen two in my life time about ten years apart. One up in Yale BC the other around Hells Gate also in BC.

 The first was in the 80s going through the Hells Gate area, it was a little high up the mountain but was very visible by my wife at the time and myself. She asked what's that up there do you see it? I was driving looking at the road but glanced up and there it was. Orangey/Brown and it stood on a cliffside staring down at the HWY.

 It was hard to not look at it as we got closer and past the beast. We had fear, it was up high enough but did not appear to be shy watching the traffic flying by. We said OK that was so F-ing weird,, Never tell anyone they will think we are nuts or full of it. But WOW! I never forgot it.

 The other was in Yale BC a few years ago. It was also up a mountain and gone within maybe 50 seconds or so. Was stunned seeing it. It was standing close to a water runoff that had been whacked apart wide in some spots from snow. It stood looking at the falls spilling over like it was figuring a way to cross it and it did just that. It seemed to go into the falls somehow without being washed out and it appeared on the other side in seconds and then continued on into the brush and was gone.

Were you able to estimate the creatures height or width on either sighting?

 They were both large but the Orange/Brown one was bigger. I have a horse and he is fair in size, they were both big enough to carry him I think, but it was hard to tell. They are thick in body though, Ten feet maybe 11 or 12 for the Orange/Brown one. Their arms were so thick. 

 Being high enough up it was very hard to estimate that but Wow when one thinks about it!  Hells gate area & Yale can be busy with them we hear from Native people in Yale, All through the mountains they say if fish are near by they will be too! Kinda scary in a way, we had some stories told to my wife and I in Yale when we had a gold claim there. I have since sold that claim lol

In 1976 I saw a sasquatch when I worked in Spuzzum B.C. Canada.. I met John Green a famous sasquatch hunter at the time.. was on  tv in a documentary.  I have never forgotten that experience

 I was 16 .. I worked in a town called Spuzzum. It was April and I was out riding a motor bike  along an old highway .  I went under a bridge where there was an "s" curve.. when I came out of the curve on the road in front of me was a sasquatch.. It was less than 50 yards in front of me.. That's where the road ended .. 

 There was a huge pile of rocks there about 7 feet high and it was taller than the rocks .. It turned and went up a hill to the railroad tracks. I turned the bike around and took off. I went and told my boss and he and a big guy named Bear. They went back back to where I saw it with their German Sheppard. We got out of the car and the dog got out, when the dog got to where I had seen it, it whimpered and ran back to the car. On the right is a huge drop to the river and we could see where it had walked. We all got back in the car and left. 

 I called the Yale newspaper and its how I got in contact with John Green. He owned the paper. He came out and I drew a picture of what I had seen. He and I went back and the impressions in the gravel were still there.

 He told me he believed me and gave me some books he had written. I was in the news paper and then I was contacted by the CBC to be in a documentary about it... So I did.

 I could never camp out there to this day I'm still scared when I go there .. I'm 63 now  .. I just recently went there with my brother and I was still scared to be there.

 It was black and I saw its profile . Black face and hands.. I never saw it look at me .. I was busy getting out of there ..

Thank you for listening.. most people think your crazy and I don't talk alot about it.. but I know what I saw .. I still have nightmares about it .. it scares me that bad.

Less than 100 feet when I got my motorcycle turned around and got out of there.  I took it by surprise and it took me by surprise.. like i say I'm still afraid to go back there .  I've been there a couple of times since but not for long.

Hello RMSO,

My name is Scott and I am an avid outdoorsman that enjoys camping, hiking, fishing and everything in between.

 I recently had a sighting in the San Diego, California area. To be exact it was at the Harrah's casino on an Indian reservation. Where the Cleveland National forest begins. This was not my first sighting, actually my third.

 

 When it happened my fiancé and I were poolside at the resort. We were laying on the pool lounger while I was scanning the mountain side next to the resort when I saw a large, dark figure moving on top of a big boulder.

 I then grabbed my fiancé's phone and zoomed all the way in and there it was. I attempted to take video but it was too far away and was shaky because of the zoom. But luckily I did end up snapping a few photos. 

 We watched it shift and move around on the rock until it started getting dark. This thing was MASSIVE! The body looked like one those old whiskey barrels but bigger. Long legs and giant feet with a conned shaped head. 

 When I snapped the photos we were several thousand feet away. I have added pictures of the subject as well as pictures of the rock afterwards (next day)

Thank you RMSO for all that you do! People need to understand and realize that these beings are 100% real and I hope this can convince some of them.

Traveling with Massive Strides near Turtle Mountain

 Hello!  We were traveling to Deckers, CO north on Hwy 67 from Woodland Park at sunset on Saturday 9/16. I was a passenger in the truck. Around mile marker 93, I saw a car pulled off the road. Just below the car was a creek with a steep mountain side going up. 

 I saw a huge black mass take 3 massive strides along the creek and then disappear into the brush. It happened so quickly, but scared me!  It was black from head to toe and huge!  Not hard to tell what it was. I am still in shock. I was not able to get any pictures. Have you heard of any sightings in this area? Thank you. I am still processing what I saw…and unnerved since we have a cabin in the area.

 Hi Melanie, we have received other bigfoot sightings near Woodland Park in the past. We just got back from an expedition into the San Juan Mountains in Colorado. Were you able to estimate the height or width of the black mass and did it appear to be on two legs?

 I thought at first it was the person from the car that was pulled off on the side of the road. But, there was no way it was a human being. It was totally black, and about 7 feet tall, on two legs, arms were long and bent as you do when running. The three running strides it took, covered quite a bit of land, and you could tell that it was trying to not slip on the loose gravel on the steep hill. Then it just disappeared into the brush. I can’t thank you enough for your response. When was the last sighting in Woodland Park that was reported to you?

The last report was within the last year, however it actually happened in 1977 a couple watched one run up hill after it stood in front of their car watching them for a few moments.

Thank you. I have a call into a friend who lives near the area of the sighting to see if she has experienced anything. She did have an incident about three months ago, where she thought a bear had gotten into her car. However, the animal opened the car door to access the food inside. She thought this was odd since she has lived in the area her whole life and when bears want inside a car, they usually don’t try the handle first!

 I was probably only 11 maybe a little younger but we were heading to church my grandfather (who is now deceased) was driving, we got to the end of our driveway to turn right to go towards town. I happened to look out across the fresh cut corn field and saw something big and dark colored standing at the edge of the trees and had one arm up holding onto a tree branch. It was probably 100 to 150 yards away. At the time I was to young I think to realize what I was seeing I thought it was probably a bear but we don't have bears here. There were a few bigfoot sightings in Rockville Indiana a few years ago I saw on a TV show. Rockville is only 10 min through the country from where I live. The small area I live in is called Coal Bluff just a few miles from Fontanet where the powder mill blew up over a hundred years ago. There are a lot of densely wooded areas around here and we have seen a lot of weird things.

 My father had a weird experience before I was born just through the woods from our house when him and a group were raccoon hunting at night. They sent the dogs out and they ran around for a few min and came running back tails between their legs scared. They heard weird noises and could feel a presence in the woods circling them they never saw anything but they all felt very uneasy as the dogs were older hunting dogs and they all hunt regularly and this had never happened before. They packed up and left. 

 Just a few months ago me and my father both had 2 different things happen in the same place in the back yard of our house. 

He was working on the chicken coop at night as he got burned by a truck fire in April of 1999 so he just works better In the dark. Anyway he felt he was being watched from the woods but he didn't pay much attention to it and it just got worse so he went to the garage to work for awhile to let the feeling wear off. Then he went back out and started working again and got the same feeling once more. So he went to the garage again and the third time he came back he said it was just overwhelmed by the feeling someone or something was watching him so he turned to the woods and said "Your not running me off I just have to go inside now and eat" or something to that effect. Never saw anything I don't think just a weird feeling.

 But I was in the same spot splitting fire wood to have a fire outside one night and as I'm sitting there I got a weird feeling but that's nothing new I have anxiety and the dark is a weird place for me. But I heard some weird noises over the ridge behind me I didn't really pay attention untill I heard something big move in the woods so I stood up and when I did I heard a tree branch snap but it was loud it wasn't raining or windy it was a perfect warm night. I went out the next day to check in the woods but I didn't see anything it was just a very weird experience.

 Sorry to write you so much I just wanted to get these stories out to you I know they sound crazy because I still think I'm crazy. I don't know if it was a bigfoot that I was when I was younger but I do vividly remember that experience and seeing whatever that was standing there it might have been facing the other way but still I saw something.

Can you recall enough to give a height or width estimate. And did the arms look natural to you like a human might?

Any other details of the creature's description you can recall would be great. Did you all drive away with it standing there or did it move off before you finished going to church?

We drove away with it still standing there. I had a little four-wheeler at the time and when we got back I rode out there to the tree to see if I could find anything. I don't remember seeing footprints but the branch it seemed to be holding was well over my head. I was about 5 feet back then. If i had to estimate it was probably 8-10 feet tall. And it had wide shoulders it was big enough for me to see it and see arms legs and a head. It didn't look to be a human when I saw it and after I rode out and saw how tall it had to be I know it wasn't a person or someone in a suit because it was just to big and tall. I know it was a far sighting but I will never forget it. It seemed to have thick dark hair. I could see it's head and other arm down by its side it was just looking out over the field towards the train tracks standing there holding the tree branch. It's weird but the legs just weren't well defined or kind of like the upper body was taller than the legs if that makes sense. I appreciate you taking the time and replying to me. I know it all must sound made up or attention seeking but I'm not looking for anything but to just tell what happened and there wasn't much to tell.  I'm an avid hunter been in the woods almost my whole life . This one time hunting in Warren PA. in the Allegheny national forest at a friends hunting camp. we were about 3 miles in on a logging road where I then walked in another mile or so and found a nice area to sit and wait for the sun to rise, it's deer season. 

 Just as the sun was rising I heard a grunt. I thought it was a deer so I'm on high alert, but then it was dead silent. About 15 minutes later the sun was peaking thru well, I then heard a grunt / growl. I look in the direction I heard the growl and see this thing stands up and turns away from me then walks away. It was only 75 yards away, it was massive about 3 and a half foot wide and about 8 to 9 feet tall.

 It was in a heavy brush and walked thru it like it was nothing. This is the first time talking about it on line. I've told some of my friends and found out some of them had experienced something as well and now we have our own group Lake Erie BFRO

 So many deer & elk hunters report nearly the same situation where they sneak into a good spot or up into a deer stand before dark. Then have a sighting and encounter in the early morning hours.

What color was the creature? Did you all see any of its tracks or anything else?

15-16 years ago, I was working my first job as a teenager, living with my estranged father after an argument with my mom. I was about 16/17 years old. My dad lived out in the boonies in Tennessee, maybe a 30 minute drive from town.

 I did a closing shift and left work about 11pm, headed to my dads little trailer in the mountains. There were winding, secluded roads for about 20 minutes of the drive, but the road we lived on was the worst for curves. At one point, following a creek, you practically do a u-turn following the road. 

 It was dark, but as my headlights revealed a sight of vision around that “u-turn”, I saw a gigantic creature stepping his leg over my neighbors barbed-wire fence, installed for his horses. I never saw his face, and the light of my car headlights only lasted as I made the turn. 

 I never spoke to anyone about it until my grandpa, a few years later, who grew up in the same house, told me a story of he and his cousins as children running up on moonshiners and Bigfoot (not at the same time) in those woods. My husband thinks I’m crazy! I’m only now, as an adult, coming to terms with what I saw as a wee little teen.

Usually barbed wire fences installed to house horses are four to five feet tall or taller. Do you happen to know or can estimate the height of the barbed wire fence the gigantic creature stepped over?

Can you estimate the height or width of the creature? Were you able to determine its hair color in the headlights?

Yes, you are correct - the barbed wire fence was about 4.5 ft tall. Given that, I would put it at about 8-9ft. I couldn't really get a good grasp of how wide it was, because I was seeing it from behind at about a 4 o'clock angle. However, I do remember the color very well as it was a greyish/white, which I think made it stand out to me so well in the dark.

Grayish white, makes me wonder if it turned that color from ageing.
