I saw one in Bailey Colorado.
I was hiking with 2 of my friends in 08-11- 2011. Bailey Colorado. My friends were ahead of me down the trail and a giant rock the size of a mailbox came crashing into the area I stopped.
The rock came vertical. Not down. It walked into the tree line. This thing was about 8 foot tall and covered in brown/Grey hair. It grunted at me and went back into the woods up the side of the mountain. I took my friends where I saw it, and nothing was there except a bunch of broken tree branches.

About 15 feet away. Tall and muscular. A wide nose. Dark eyes with a pissed off look on its face. After I got my friends to go look at this thing, all we could see was a trail of broken limbs. Green limbs. Harder to break. The limbs were the size of my arms to the size of my calves
And it stunk. Like a longhaired wet and muddy dog
It scared the shit out of me. I served in the military. I would get worried sometimes. But never scared
The arms were huge and muscular. About 4 feet long.

My uncle sent me these photos taken in San Luis Valley area Colorado.
Ok so I’m not sure which road it was but heading out of Antonio.
His driver pulled over to check a strap and as you can see it had rained the night before. He said the stride was at least double of a man and the size was about 1 1/2 times of a size 12 work boot.
Also the tracks you see if boots coming back he weighed about 250 and barely sunk at all. This was about 2 years ago I believe.
They told me about but my uncle is not good at texting lol so I saw him last week and got them. That’s the the deal all I know about it but whatever it is these are no fakes.
They went for a good ways then trailed off into the grass.

A size 12 work boot is close to 14 inches in length, that means those Bigfoot tracks are around 20 inches in length. Here is an example of a large bear track for comparison. Your uncle definitely found and photographed Bigfoot tracks.

Traveling with Massive Strides near Turtle Mountain

Hello! We were traveling to Deckers, CO north on Hwy 67 from Woodland Park at sunset on Saturday 9/16. I was a passenger in the truck. Around mile marker 93, I saw a car pulled off the road. Just below the car was a creek with a steep mountain side going up.
I saw a huge black mass take 3 massive strides along the creek and then disappear into the brush. It happened so quickly, but scared me! It was black from head to toe and huge! Not hard to tell what it was. I am still in shock. I was not able to get any pictures. Have you heard of any sightings in this area? Thank you. I am still processing what I saw…and unnerved since we have a cabin in the area.

Hi Melanie, we have received other bigfoot sightings near Woodland Park in the past. We just got back from an expedition into the San Juan Mountains in Colorado. Were you able to estimate the height or width of the black mass and did it appear to be on two legs?

I thought at first it was the person from the car that was pulled off on the side of the road. But, there was no way it was a human being. It was totally black, and about 7 feet tall, on two legs, arms were long and bent as you do when running. The three running strides it took, covered quite a bit of land, and you could tell that it was trying to not slip on the loose gravel on the steep hill. Then it just disappeared into the brush. I can’t thank you enough for your response. When was the last sighting in Woodland Park that was reported to you?

The last report was within the last year, however it actually happened in 1977 a couple watched one run up hill after it stood in front of their car watching them for a few moments.

Thank you. I have a call into a friend who lives near the area of the sighting to see if she has experienced anything. She did have an incident about three months ago, where she thought a bear had gotten into her car. However, the animal opened the car door to access the food inside. She thought this was odd since she has lived in the area her whole life and when bears want inside a car, they usually don’t try the handle first!

Aspen, I just want help others come forward and feel comfortable telling their stories.
I will try to be as detailed as possible.
The chance encounter happened at the Pine Creek Cook house, just outside of Aspen Colorado in January 1999 at around midnight. This happened quite a few years ago so the layout might be slightly different now.
There are essentially two ways to get to the restaurant which is basically in the middle of the wilderness. From the parking area which is just over a mile away, you can cross-country ski slightly up hill with a small head lamp, or take a sleigh around another route. These are the winter options.
Myself and four others cross country skied up for dinner. We stayed well into the evening. At the end of the night there were maybe three employees left, and it obvious it was time to call it an evening. So we headed back down to the parking area, which means skiing down hill.
When we reached the bottom we took off the skis and left them against the lodge, because everyone was gone. We were the last vehicle left.
When we got to my Tahoe, I realized I had forgotten to zip up the pocket on my jacket, and my keys had fallen out somewhere on the way down. These are my store keys, house keys, and car keys so there was no way I wasn't going to go back up and try to find them. The other four in my group thought it was a waste of time because it was snowing pretty hard by then, and they were going to try and call a cab before it got any later.
So I got my head lamp and put it back on and grabbed two others, one in each hand, and walked very slowly retracing my my path back up hill staring essentially at the ground in front of me on my way up.
Lots of snow coming down now. I was about to give up as I had made it all the way back to the very top of the slope just at the corner of the restaurant and I saw the fob of the keys peaking out of the snow as they layer under a tree bough that blocked much of the down fall. I picked them up and zipped them up.
I heard something next to the wall 20 maybe 25 feet away from me. Basically deep breathing. Now I'm in the middle of nowhere, and more than a mile away from my car. Lights are off in the restaurant, and it's pretty obvious it's just me, and what ever that is.
I'm really hoping it's not a bear or worse a mountain lion so I focused all three lights at the area of the noise. It's not exactly a spot light, because these are not very powerful, but it's really close. It had long brown hair, and it was trying to hide against the wall. When the light hit it, it squared off in a linebacker pose looking right at me, standing on two legs in an upright slightly crouched position and staring right at me.
It was no bear. It had this low growl, letting me know I was not supposed to be there. I'm frozen trying to decide what to do. It's probably seven foot and a half feet tall, maybe a little less or more. The growl got louder, and it slapped its hands together really hard like it was go time.
Now this is going to sound weird but it sounded like one of those oversized car doors from the seventies being slammed shut. This heavy clasp sound. That's when I snapped to and hauled ass down the hill.
I ran the whole way back, face planted a couple times. My friends were still there waiting on a taxi and asked me if I found the keys. I nodded and hopped in the driver's seat obviously out of breath. I never told any of them what happened, just got out of there. I was still processing this, and wanted to create some distance.
Details wise: it had long brown hair and was 7 and a half footish. I've heard people talk about big wide glowing red eyes, but this was not the case here. They were more sunken in and amber in color but very feral and intense. The nose did not look super wide like a gorilla. Slightly flat but more human like. The shoulders were freaking enormous easily 4 and a half foot wide. The arms were really long and it had huge hands. It had no smell as I have heard stories from people that describe that, and I was down wind from it. The skin on its face was brown, but not terribly dark.
If it wanted to end me, it could easy have done it. I surprised it. I approached from down wind, in soft snow going really slow because was looking for the keys. It was trying to hide, but there wasn't a good place to do it as the tree line was some distance away. The whole event was maybe 15 to 20 seconds. We were both trying to figure out what to do, when it basically communicated it was time for me to leave.
The whole experience was just random, I didn't go looking for it. It's the only time I've had an experience with a Sasquatch. I didn't even tell anybody until Finding Bigfoot came out. The important thing to me is that the focus stays on Bigfoot, not on me. It was just a chance encounter. If I hadn't dropped the keys at that precise time and under those exact conditions, I would have never seen it.
I have tried to be as specific and thorough as possible.

Intense encounter and sighting. I lost my keys and wallet while skiing. Both in same coat pocket that I forgot to zip up. Ended up finding my keys. Did not find the wallet. A good samaritan found my wallet and seeing my address on my drivers license, showed up to my house the next day to give it to me.
Its amazing how many folks see Bigfoot in places during the winter with deep snow that you would not think it would be. Indian Pass & North Ogden Pass in Utah have had several Bigfoot sightings during the winter during times of deep snow.

A lot of sightings happen under abnormal circumstances. Maybe the creature was used to the time of night when patrons would leave the area and then it would go about its business. You coming back alone took it by surprise.

I totally agree. Cliff, Bobo. Pruit and Dave Ellis all asked me if it was raiding trash cans, or a grease trap, but I was in the front of the building so I don't know.

Hi my name is Ray I have seen on TV and the news about the Bigfoot sightings here in my state of Colorado.. I know of a location in the San Grade DE Christo Mountain Range were either Bigfoot? Or some kind of Creature or Creatures Live..
I had a krazzzy experience in 1994 on my Dirt bike in this area.. I don't wanna leave a long drawn out message but it's kinda of a long story . There is a Trail that is called THE RAINBOW TRAIL..The Trail head starts on a 4x4 road outta the town of Westcliffe Colorado called Hermit Road... It is a rough rough trail!!!! It goes roughly 90 miles through the deep deep dark forest of this Mountain Range and pops out in Salida Colorado...I have not traveled the entire 90 miles from the beginning of the trail head to the end in Salida..
I went to this area with a good friend of mine who was older than me and was very familiar with this area and had been riding this area for many years. This was my 1st trip on the RAINBOW Trail.. We were going to ride from our camp spot that was off Hermit road to the RAINBOW Trail and ride this trail to RAINBOW Lake.. there are several Lakes that branch off this Main RAINBOW trail.. my friend and I had the same Dirt bikes except his had a larger gas tank for Long trail rides were as mine did not have a large gas tank so we were limited to so many miles we could travel...I had a enough gas to get to RAINBOW Lake and fish for awhile and then drive back to our camper...
So we started out early that morning to RAINBOW Lake.. My friend who knew this trail was much faster on his bike than me and would get out ahead of me then stop wait for me to catch up and we'd continue etc.etc.etc. I was also crashing alot and getting back on my bike and continuing down the trail alot to. We were not into the trail bit maybe 5 or 6 Miles when I noticed that it was early morning and the sun was fully out but there were areas that were dark!! I mean like it looked almost nite time in certain areas..
So trying to make this long story short or shorter anyway, I came around a corner and slid in a big mud bog .I didn't see it in time and I went down.I was trying to follow my friends tracks to make up time and I saw he clearly went around this mud section and went past it like nothing. So I was stopped in this turn section of the trail in mud. It wasn't deep or nothing serious but I had laid my bike down already 10 -12 times already by this point and was winded a little bit and kinda tired so I picked my bike up and was just leaning on the seat catching my breath and I was looking around just like I had done every other time before when I had crashed..
There was scrub oak on this mountain side and wasn't very tall but extremely thick and then up higher the pine trees were super thick all the way to top of the mountain There half way up the mountain were the scrub oak was I saw the scrub oak move like shake as if something was on the ground going up through the scrub oak heading up towards the pine trees??
It appeared that something was was small moving fast under the tops of the scrub oak or as I later thought? It was like something invisible was going through the scrub oak? I know that sounds weird? I thought it was a bobcat?? Small animal of some sort? And was then thinking maybe a baby bear? I always think of mama bear when I have seen a baby bear in the woods in the past.. whatever it was it was getting away from me?? So I was watching to see what it was gonna be? But I didn't see any small Animal at all ??
Then I was looking up past the scrub oak and up in the pine trees I saw something moving the branches behind a huge pine tree..I thought it was a bear or a large porcupine siting on a branch cause the branch of this pine tree moved and that's what drew my attention to that tree.. and then it happened again it seemed like something invisible was moving thru the pine trees going up the mountain side?? And it was fast !!
I was waiting to see what kind of animal it was that was moving through the trees? I swear it was like something invisible was just moving fast through the the scrub oak 1st then the pine treesI kept watching to see what was moving through pine trees?.coulda been something Paranormal? I thought my eye's weren't working right?? Cause I could see the branches and brush moving? It was krazzzy! And That was the end of that... There is some other interesting things about this area to .. As I said before I didn't want to write a huge Long email..if anyone is interested about this area and the other part of this story feel free to email me and we can set up a call or something

I am 5 ft 7 inches and the scrub oak was just a little bit taller then me, maybe 6 ft plus or minus a few inches. The weird thing is, whatever it was when it was closest to me in the scrub oak. It was down below the tops of the scrub and I figured it was a small 4 legged Animal of some sort? But from the time it was in the scrub oak and made it to were the pine trees started, it was incredibly fast! I can't stress that point enough...like to fast?
Then when the pine tree branches which were from the ground level all the way up to the top of this 50-60 ft pine tree. When the pine tree branches moved it was as if something was running through the trees going up the mountain side? I was telling myself what's moving the branches? Ok I'm gonna see what it is any second now? And nothing? I know it sounds krazzzy ! Something invisible that moved 100-150 ft through the scrub oak up to the pine trees in like 10 seconds? And no loud or noticeable sound or weird noise?
When the pine tree branches moved and I couldn't see what was moving them, that's what made me freak out? I kept waiting to see what it was that moved that fast? That was that is all I can say? Paranormal? Invisible? In my mind that's what I could only figure?? It's just krazzzy!
If you want to go to a place where there's area that man hasn't walked over and is a deep dark and scarey as hell in the daylight in the daytime I recommend you start off at the entrance of the RAINBOW Trail and go northwest.To me its NO MAN'S LAND IN THE FORSET.
It was about a year or so later I was telling one of friends who has a atv motorcycle repair shop in my home town of Pueblo Colorado this story. And he says. Ohh I believe you Ray. He says back in the early 80s, him and 2 friends went on the same rainbow trail and they were riding there Trials motorcycles in this same area.
I mentioned in the 1st email this rainbow Trail branch off to other trails that take you to natural springs, lakes, overlooks etc... Back in the 80s most of these trails were open to motorcycle, horse,& foot access. You can't get a atv back there, its to narrow.
My friend Kenny said they were riding up to Comanche and Blue to fish and camp. When they set up camp at Comanche lake they were all around the fire sharing a little drink and smoke. And they heard something in the trees and all around them all nite long.
Kenny said whatever it was didn't grunt? Didn't bark or howl, Nothing? Just movement though the trees all around them all nite? He said they never heard it more then once at a time? It would be behind them and would hear the grass being walked on and branch move and then it would stop and then nothing? Then same thing would happen again but completely in front of them? Then stop and it would be behind them again?
Kenny said something was watching them all nite long and was letting them know it was all around them? He said they were lucky they collected enough fire wood for all nite because not one of them wanted to leave the group, not even to go to the bathroom off behind a tree somewhere.
Kenny said whatever it was didn't stop till 5 am. The sun came out at 6 a.m. and they were outta there at 7 a.m. Just when there was enough light to see the trail they got out of there. Was it Bigfoot? Paranormal? Something was there and was letting Kenny and his 2 friends know that they were being watched! I saw him one time. I was trout fishing in the stream by our camp and caught movement to my right. When I turned to look, he pulled his head back behind a spruce tree he was watching me from.
I wasn’t sure what I was looking at, so I walked over to the tree. When I looked to the right he was walking up a trail headed towards a small grove of aspens. He didn’t even flinch when I walked around that spruce tree. He looked like he couldn’t have cared less that I was behind him.
I watched him for just a couple of seconds before he dropped down on all fours and kind of sideways galloped up the hill another 30 yards or so. Then he stood up and turned and looked right at me.
I know I’m probably going to lose you on this part but if I hadn’t seen his body I would have said it was a aborigine from Australia, by the look of his face.
Later that night I was trying to sleep and had to stretch out my leg. As soon as I pressed my foot against the tent fabric, something slapped the hell out of it and ran off making a sound. It sounded exactly like Larry from the three stoooges whoop whoop whoop whoop whoop sound lol so we officially named it Curly.
It’s in a deep canyon off of divide road in the Uncompahgre national forest, even the locals don’t go down in there, it’s so steep. If you’re ever in that area I could drop you a pin on google maps to show you where it’s at.

There are a lot of reports about them going on all fours. We have tracked them dropping down on hands or knuckles while they travel in steep areas.

I’ll be honest, I was so busy saying holy crap I wasn’t even thinking about looking at the details of it. I will say it was jet black and by jet black I mean shiny like a minks coat. I would just be guessing at the height of it but I remember thinking to myself holy crap their taller than the stories I’ve heard.
Other than the face the only thing that really stood out was the build of it, it wasn’t some hulking muscular beast. It was built like the wrestler Bill Goldberg but really tall, it had a really wide back with a narrow waist and was more slender from the waist down. Like I said, it lasted for just a couple of seconds and it was gone so I really didn’t have time to process it all.
