Trail Camera Set 10ft Up & Angled Down
BH writes RMSO
This was from a friend's trailcam 10 ft above the ground, looking down into a dry creek bed, near Tucson AZ.
RMSO asks
were you and your friend able to estimate its height or width from this photo from where the trail camera was positioned?
BH continues
Well, the camera was about 10 ft into the air, and he's looking right into the camera, so at least 10 ft tall. Couldn't really guess how wide at the shoulders. But he's a big boy.
RMSO asks
Did you help your friend place the camera or service it when you all captured this image?
Near Tucson, can you be more specific like a canyon, mountain, plateau or whatever nearby or what direction from Tucson? North, east or west?
Did anyone servicing the trail camera notice any footprints in the area?

In Oct 1989 I was remote camping with my Husky Dog in the Kaibab National Forest about 8 miles southwest of Demotte Park on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, about 8900 feet in elevation.
It was about 10 pm and I was listening to the World Series on a moonless, cold and windy night. I don't know if any of you have been deep in the forest on a moonless night, but at ground level its completely dark with only starlight illuminating the tree tops.
Anyway, suddenly my Husky dog, Trina, curled up next to my leg jumped to her feet, started to growl, and backed into my leg. I don't ever remember my dog spooked like that. Many times upon hearing a noise she would walk out to investigate, sniffing as she went. I then grabbed my flashlight and pointed it across the narrow jeep road and there it was.
A large tall dark thing standing behind the Douglas Fir tree immediately turned and ran. I still remember the thundering footstep sounds this heavy creature made as it ran. At first I wasn't afraid but was impressed that this heavy thing, running away, dodged all the trees in absolute darkness. About 15 minutes later after overthinking the situation fear settled in.
Should I pack up and drive out thinking this creature might be territorial and come back after me, or should I just crawl into the 4x4 SUV and stay the night. I decided to stay but left my dog outside to growl, bark, or make any distressful noises if it ever came back. Needless to say I didn't sleep that night. After that I made arrangements to sleep inside my vehicle on future trips when out alone.
Today I've got a roof top tent on my 4Runner so sleeping up high makes me feel a little more comfortable when I'm alone. Plus I set out a few hotspot wifi cameras signaled to my smart phone to look around my vehicle just in case.
RMSO
Hi Hector, enjoyed reading about your sighting and experience. Feel bad for your spooked husky, staying out side that night. However I am sure if the bigfoot would have come back your huskies growling and barking would have kept it at bay. Thanks again for sharing this with us.

Posturing with Intimidation on the Mogollon Rim
Surveyors Harassed & Confronted by
Mean Posturing Bigfoot on Mogollon Rim
Rick G. writes RMSO on managed page
I'm a land surveyor in Arizona. Had a sighting near Mogollon Rim close to strawberry Arizona in 2012 while setting panels for a topography flight. Never had bigfoot on the mind, never imagined they would be in Arizona. It totally messed me up for the better part of a year. Classic ptsd , nightmares, panic attacks you name it...really sucked. Like every other time in my life I've been knocked down i got up and faced it .. I've been back to that area several times hoping to see one of them again. They're there..
We saw the same one multiple times. I say we because there was 3 of us on the crew all 3 of us saw the same thing the closest point that we saw him was probably about 35 as you ran by us
RMSO asks.
Hi Rick, we are familiar with the Mogollon Rim, our team actually camped near Strawberry one year for a week long expedition.. We received a bigfoot sighting report from the outskirts of Pine last February 2022. A woman saw the creature move along the fence line at the back of her yard while she was standing at the kitchen window.
If you don't mind could you describe the Bigfoot as best as you recall.. Height estimate, width, color or face description etc...? How did the sighting start, what happened, how did it end?
Rick continues
I'm telling you that area is HOT!! I've gone back with one of my coworkers and camped for two nights last April we were hearing some crazy stuff we were on the south side of the highway. Literally a 20 minute walk to the rim
We had driven back to that area to work about 3 times from Tucson that month. Typical there are survey problems with this type of job. Associates couldn't see one of the panels on the fly over , an elevation was busted , etc etc.
The clients who met us at the Dennys in Payson had bought the property to make it into a Christian retreat or something like that it was about 50 acres of some pretty rough, nasty terrain that was going to be worked out near the Rim. Work was pretty scarce back then so when I got a call to help I was pretty happy, you pretty much took whatever you could get back in those days ,2012. It was cool for me and the other guys because it was going into its 3rd weekend. Being that it was the 3rd time that we were there, so we absolutely needed to finish.
It started getting dark and that's when things got crazy. I'd say at about 7:15pm August 19, 2012. There was discussion amongst us about the best way to get to the GPS base and break it down. All this has relevance because we ended up turned around out there as it was getting dark.
The guy we picked up in Phoenix to help us was lagging behind and he kept saying he could hear something behind him. Honestly I thought he was full of crap and was being paranoid because all he did was complain the last couple of hours we hiked.
I guess the circus started when we heard and felt steps run by us in the trees that felt heavy. He yelled out it was a bear. I saw it really quick and thought the same. None of us had ever seen a bear EVER in the wild. So assumed, oh crap it's a bear. Didn't see it to good at that point but it felt close.
No more than 5 minutes later the other guy Carlos pointed and told us to look, and there it was about 50 feet away standing next to a tree looking right at us. From the little bit of natural you could make out his size and that he was covered in hair. He had a mean looking posture and you could see his body breathing. It didn't look like it was standing straight up but even then it was well over 6ft....easy. It grunted a couple of times and just like that was gone.
No words can describe the absolute crippling fear that comes over you. The three of us just stood there. In that moment i could see his face reflecting light , he looked kinda shiny, other than two big black eye sockets I couldn't make out any other features. Its hair was definitely black or really dark brown.
We eventually started moving toward the base and picked it up. The entire time we were moving it moved with us, just out of sight. You could hear it. I couldn't smell anything. At one point I stopped and looked into the trees for about a minute and sure as heck there he was just standing and watching us from about 60 feet. It was like he was trying to hide and be stealthy but wasn't making an effort to do so.
Longer story short it all ended when we got back to the truck and it must-have known we were scared because he let out some kind of yell as if it was telling us to get the hell out of there.

According to reports B.Yazzie posted the following photo taken 5-22-2007 from security cameras on Navajo National Reservation.
Its purported to be a 9 foot tall Bigfoot carrying a deer carcass.
Most of the Navajo Tribal Lands are in North East Arizona with parts extending into Utah and New Mexico.
The surrounding areas of Arizona are well known for Bigfoot sightings along with the Mogollon Monster a version of Arizona's Bigfoot.

Ingram J contacted RMSO 07-31-22
Ingram disputes this initial report & states the bigfoot is smaller than reported.
My brother took that photo
5 miles away our ranch neighbor saw two smaller ones playing in a wash. I believe they are more baby ones.
That photo was taken april 29th of this year
300yds from my mom's house. Its dragging a piece of lumber from a shed that blew down from the high winds
The rangers and some of the Navajo Nation officials went snooping around a whole day after my sister posted the photo on fb
He was driving on the dirt road when he saw it and then took the photo out of panic. He thought it was a badger at first
If they (bigfoot) have learned or started to build things, this might be the reason for the need of that wood.
I saw it as a kid exploring. Our ranch dogs bark but now keep their distance everytime maybe the adult one does a scream. Rocks have been thrown at the dogs.
Brother went to show a good family friend the photo and her elders said the Natives used to hunt them.
Also that they may be part of the shapeshifting community? Reason no one has really seen them. They also mentioned that if a shapeshifting animal, it will use the underground to move.
We have been getting random people stopping by and it weirds my mom out. So its all hush at the moment.
(RMSO opinion "Zooming in it appears to be a deer head & face along with one leg hanging down near the deer head. Both parties do infact believe it is a Bigfoot on Navajo tribal lands. However the size of the creature, how the photo was taken & what the creature is carrying is disputed. Great photo either way)
You have your squiggly branches in the sage brush in the foreground. The dark area left of the animal is a cedar tree stump. The sage brush in this photo inline with the tree is 34-36 inches in height.
So the animal is no more than that.
RMSO responds
Hi Ingram, good work.
Ingram continues
No problem. This does bring up the question of a different species of hairy humanoids though. For something its short stature, it does have defined muscle build.
Cameras will be placed and hopefully catch better footage.
My brother saw it and said it was a piece of wood it was carrying.

You are all situated Northeast of the Mogollon Rim & Tonto Forest... The Mogollon Monster is Arizona's most sighted Bigfoot type creature is typically much smaller than the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain Bigfoot... Largest witness accounts are 7 feet tall at most, however most witnesses state the creature more often 5 to 6 feet tall... If that creature is a Mogollon Monster species of Bigfoot that would explain why it is so small.. Probably a youngster or a juvinile.. Now it makes me wonder if it is carrying a dead coyote, goat or rabbit.. Zooming in I still see the head of an animal with good size ears.. Interesting... Did you all notice if there was a rut or wash between the sage it walked inbetween?

Pine Arizona Sasquatch in Mogollon Rim Mountains
7 Feel Tall Mogollon Monster
Walking Behind Garage Pine Arizona Bigfoot
Pine AZ Woman writes RMSO
So, I saw something big and hairy walking on two feet out back from where I live, just east of Pine, AZ. I don’t want any of attention, but thought y’all might be able to shed some light on what is here.
It was about 7’ tall, bipedal and was covered with long brownish red hair. I saw it at about 5:30-6:00 am walking a short distance on the forest service fence behind the garage where I live. I didn’t go out and look for evidence, and am kicking myself in the butt. It was just walking along, sort of parallel to a game trail.
We live between Pine and Milk Ranch Point
RMSO responds
Sounds like you may have saw the Mogollon Monster. Arizona's Bigfoot
We did a week long expedition near the Pine area of Arizona because of reports we received near there.
Was this just recently?

Most witnesses around the Mogollon Rim, Coconio, Tonto and Apache National forest describe the bigfoot as different brownish colors.. Were you able to determine the width of the creature or see its face?
Pine AZ Woman
Didn’t see it’s face, it walked parallel to our home. Couldn’t tell how broad its shoulders were either, but I was looking out the bathroom window and saw it, looked away and looked at again twice…I couldn’t believe my eyes. I have always believed there was something like this in the world, but never experienced a sighting before. Now I look every time I walk past the windows on that side of the house.
It wasn’t very far away from the back of the garage, less than 50’ I guess
It walked upright, like a man-only not quite human
If y’all find out anything, please let me know. I know that there are things out there that we have yet to prove exist. My other half is Native American and has shared his culture’s beliefs and his personally. I am inclined to believe it was what is referred to as a Bigfoot
RMSO
We do know that area you are in is a bigfoot sighting hot spot of Arizona. The entire Mogollon Rim area collectively. Actually found bigfoot tracks near a spring in the Mountains above Pine when we were there.

Mogollon Camp Host Scared Sh*tless by Bigfoot
Phil H writes RMSO
Hi folks.
I responded to one your videos on YouTube the other day.
I was a camp host at a campground outside of Payson Az back in 2006.
At that particular time..I was just a solo camper. The employment came up about 2 weeks later.
You guys seem to be semi familiar with this area, (mogollon rim) based on a couple of videos of yours I've seen.
The campground was off of route 260 east of Payson Az. About 25 ish miles?
I forgot the mile marker.
The surrounding area includes Little green valley, Christopher Creek, Tonto village, haigler creek, bear flat and a few others. You might know the area.
Anyway...long story short..I was allowed to set up a camping space early in April due to a couple of very understanding employee's.
The didn't officially open at that time till late May if I remember correctly.
I had my choice of camp spots as I was a regular for a few a few seasons before that time.
The people who ran this campsite
(Ponderosa) recognized me, and allowed me in early to camp there, as I am a very responsible camper.
I've also hunted for elk and turkey in that area. (Since they changed the draw system)
At that time, I was running to the forest to be alone due to a marital situation at that time.
Took time off of work for a couple of weeks to run to my sanctuary, and try to get my head straight. Tonto forest on the rim.
Long story short..I ended up being employed as a campground host at the Sharp Creek campground in June.
I was originally camped out at Ponderosa.
The things that happened to me occurred while I was camped out at Ponderosa campgrounds when I was just a regular nobody camper.
Since it was so early in the year...there were only two of us in the campground at that time.
The brand new camp host (who I became best friends with)., and myself.
He was a single guy who had just been through a divorce himself and that's why he took the job.
Same reasons as me, but he was getting paid for it, whereas I had to pay. Lol
Anyway..it was him and his amazing chocolate lab dog named Coco.
So...one night, I think it was the first week of May..on, I think it was a Tuesday night..a full moon. I think.
I was sleeping in my tent.
I was awakened by the sound of rain or hail on my expensive nice tent.
There were no clouds and no rain though.
I know the weather can change quickly up on the rim but, I was confused.
I laid back down to go back to sleep.
Two minutes later...same thing!
Sounded like huge raindrops or hail on my tent. I stepped out to find a bunch of smaller rocks around the perimeter of my tent that weren't there before.
Now I'm up. Now I'm pissed off!
I got up very quickly and looked out the fly. No rain, no hail, no clouds. Bright moon. Nothing wet. Beautiful night.
10 seconds later, I heard the loudest, longest scream I had ever heard.
It sounded like a 100 foot tall woman being stabbed to death or something.
It was VERY loud!
I mean, LOUD to where I could feel it in my bones!
It was VERY long!
About 10 seconds maybe.
It was 2:05 am.exactly.
I know this because I had just bought a Timex indiglo watch that I loved, about 2 days before that,at the Walmart in Payson.
I was really pissed off, thinking it was a mountain lion or fox or something that caught some prey.
I know they're sounds through experience.
This wasn't that!
I got dressed and started walking to where I thought the screaming came from.
I walked down about a 1/4 mile down a dirt access road that was gated off to vehicle traffic, at the very end of that loop. I was armed with my holstered 38 and a pretty nice hatchett.
I just wanted to chase away whatever it was that screamed so loud, so I could go back to sleep, as I was tired and weary.
I walked quickly down that road not being careful at all of my fast walking sounds on the rocks and dried pine needles crunching under my steps.
I was pissed off!
I was intensely looking and listening for any sound at all besides my own footsteps.
Keep in mind, although it was basically a full moon the way I remember it....it was night light...i could only see mostly shadows and angles of the landscape that didn't allow me to get the real view.
I looked for mostly horizontal movement as much as I could see, as that's what us forest people learn to look for.
About 2 minutes later..I hear the exact same scream again, but only closer and louder. I was very, very scared now
Maybe 50 yards to my three o clock?
(I was headed south)
All of a sudden I saw an outline of something scampering across the road about 30 ish yards from me.
All I caught was about a 2-3 second glimpse of it from side to side.
It stopped at the treeline and that's when I got scared.
I mean... f-ing SCARED!
Thought it may be a really big bear.
We have small black bears up here.
Small 200 lb Black bears don't get get to be seven or eight foot high.
I turned and ran back North to my tent as fast as I could without stopping.
Keep in mind I was about 47 or so years old!
I'm in good shape for my age but I was scared shitless!
Never even thought about my .38 even though it was flapping against my leg all the way back.
I dropped my hatchet at some point so I could run faster, and never did find it.
I don't even remember running on the road.
All I could think of was Coco..the dog...
I was actually yelling out loud, 'please help me Coco'.... Come!
( My buddy's dog a 1/2 mile away)
She was barking her head off but she was tied up. She couldn't help me.
That was probably the worst part.
She heard it too.
i can't tell you how much I was hoping she would break loose, and come to my rescue! She didn't.
I made it back at about 2:30 but I didn't sleep that night and the next 2 nights.
I know what I saw.
Laugh if you want to.. I don't care.
There's a lot more to the story but, I'll only mention it if someone happens to ask.
Just saying...be careful on your trips to the rim, looking for this thing.
It's something you want to see till you actually do.
Then, not so much maybe.
Thanks for the reply.
Sorry this response was so long.
That's only half of it
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Phillip H
RMSO Responds
Appreciate hearing about your encounter.
7 to 8 feet tall. Agree even the biggest black bears rarely get over 6 feet tall.
Did you get a good look at its shape or see it walking bipedal?
I know it was at night, but I always ask.
Could you make out any face features or see the eyes?
Phil H
I only saw an outline of something really really big, for about maybe 3 seconds.
No facial recognition.
It was a full moon, but everything was shadows and shadow angles.
It wasn't a damn bear.
That's why I thought it might have been a huge man.
The stones it threw at my lonely tent is what scared me.
You have to understand...I was sleeping.
The stones thrown on my tent woke me up.
I didn't know that at that time.
I thought it was hail or big raindrops.
There was an older woman that pulled in towing a travel trailer about 2 nights previously and asked if she could park there. We were telling her we werent officially open yet but after she explained why..we said ok. Just lay low.
She paid for two weeks (14 days,) as she was
running away from her kids wanting to put her in a old folks home, so we took her money and let her stay.
Her story made us want to help her, like a cool grandma or something.
That made three of us in the whole campground.
We talked to her for about 10 minutes.
She was allowed to pull In and set up cuz she was just a nice old lady and we felt sorry for her and wanted to help her.
She parked her rig at the very last camp space on the very last loop and was almost invisible to any traffic all by herself .
When I heard that screaming,my first thought was if she was ok
I went there about 5;00 am cuz I was obviously up and wanted to know if she was ok. She was up all night too.
She said she aint saw or heard nothing in her life like that and she was actually more mad than scared..
She said she saw something she never heard of seen before, and asked me to help hitch up her rv to the hitch
I did.
I asked her if she knew what happened last night or did she see anything.
She said "I saw and heard the whole thing, and I ain't sayiin nothin'
I gotta go now Mr . Phil.
I ain't coming back.
You keep yer money".
I felt bad for her cuz it seemed like she was mad at me.
She was gone by 6:00 am.
My only witness besides the dog was gone and I never heard back.
BTW..I did report it cuz campers were coming up in June.
I was told by by boss lady it was just a bear and don't talk about bear actiivity with campers.
Wasn't a damn bear.
I saw about 50% of it's face.
Was human but not.
Only huge faced. And hairy.
And loud!
VERY loud!
It is hard to explain.
It was dark due to shadows in the bright moonlight.
Moonlight isn't always a good thing.
Almost like camouflage weirdly.
I have two other weird things that happened on the rim
Also...just to let you know..I used to tease people that believed in Bigfoot.
I don't anymore.
People I know tell me they wish they could get a job working in the forest for a year.
I just laugh a bit and don't say anything.
It was crazy and I can't stop thinking about it.
Be careful when you visit the rim.
Especially at night.
It can be a great time..
Or sometimes, it can literally scare the shit out of you.
