My name is William M and I'm a veteran. I don't really remember what month it was, but it wasn’t cold or any snow. Around the fall of 1978, I was a PFC in the army serving in Fort Lewis Washington.
One night, while part of our squad of 11 men me included. We were in a position in the woods of the base, practicing an ambush on a crossroad. While in the position, we started hearing some coyotes barking angrily at something about 200 meters across from our site.
All of the sudden whatever it was started either killing or hurting the coyotes in a way that in a matter of a minute, everything was quiet… then about 5 min later we started receiving that stenchy smell of rotten something from across the woods.
Every f-!ng hair on my body stood up, then the growl/scream. It was like letting us know: I see you; (I want to let you know that we are supposed to keep still no matter what, until our “enemy” arrives in vehicles)…
But when all of us saw that thing, about 9 feet tall. It took only 3 steps to cross the loggers road oppostie of us. And as soon as it went into the woods it growled again. We all stood in unison and left all our equipment, rifle and all and took off running away from there…
We must ran for a mile before we stopped. Our Captain couldn’t make us go back alone… we didn’t have live ammo then, and everybody was scared sh!tless… I’ll never forget that. I’m retired now living in Puerto Rico but have 2 sons and a daughter that live in Tacoma…

Besides being 9 feet tall do you recall any other details about the creature.
Could you see what color it was? How wide was it? Were you able to see its face or eyes?

We were too far away and facing opposite him. I do remember it was full moon and it looked like brownish long hair. What caught my eyes was the long arms, they were past the knees it look like. And those strides, that’s when I knew it was big.
I lived in Washington a lot of years and hunted deer, bear, you name it, and i know a bear don't walk like that and on two legs, at that speed?… impossible

Have Many Tools when Identifying Image Authenticity
Journalists & Researchers have many tools at their disposal when it comes to identifying actual photographs opposed to AI generated images.
1st of all the person making a claim that it came from a hand held camera, trail camera or security camera for example. Must provide the original image for inspection.
If the person making the claim refuses to do so, then they must be hiding something.
An inspection of the original photo details and or File Info will reveal the device that captured the image and chain of custody.
For example the following game camera image.
The File Info from this image shows it was taken on November 6th, 2022 at 9:40 PM
From a Stealth Cam model SCT-G42NG
It then shows it being placed on a PC & the File Path it was placed in.
If the person making the claim cant provide an original photo that shows the Device Info showing the camera and model, we must assume they are attempting to deceive the public.
Its rather easy to weed out AI hoaxers & will not be much of an issue for those that know what to look for.
This is just one example of many that can be used to identify photographs that come from a camera. There are a lot of tell tale give aways in an AI image that can help weed out the hoaxers too.
A few years back in the foothills of NC we ran across some tracks. It was 50 degrees that morning and these were found on a small bank on the river that was miles from the nearest boat ramp. Also miles from the nearest homes. There was also a smaller set of track that seemed to be on its tip toes. Both tracks led into the water. There was no signs of a boat that had pulled up on the bank and it has poured raining gone day before.
My buddy said I don’t know what’s more scary: Bigfoot or some huge guy out here hunting pigs barefooted.
It’s worth noting I’m 6’2” 240 lbs with size 12 boot. I took my boot off and pressed hard into the sand and as you can see whatever it was was much bigger and heavier than me. Crazy.
Also have heard woods on wood knocking and lots of random trees falling while hunting over the years. Weird stuff.
I can assure you though this is not something we did as a joke or a prank. We were taking some hunting gear down to the river to be picked up by boat as opposed to walking it out and that’s how we stumbled across them. Strange stuff

I can check but don’t believe so. I pulled those pics from my instagram post like 4-5 years ago when it happened. The only tracks we saw though headed right into the water. I only posted that one track cause it was the most definitive as far as outline.

Hell they say black panthers don’t exist in NC either but I saw one of them with my own eyes about 10 years ago while leaving hunting in the evening on the side of the road.
What I don’t get with the whole Bigfoot thing though is how no one can seem to get them on a trail camera. Seems like they would but the footprints we saw just don’t make sense for someone to be out there on a cold morning barefoot and being that large. Could happen I guess just not normal at all.

Less often than the rare hand held camera video or photo. Many researchers including our team believe the reason is, the creature can see the infrared trigger beam & then avoids the areas they are in.

Well I imagine if they can smell and are as almost as smart as us they can hear, smell and see us coming and know if we set one up.
Trust me I was a non believer but ever since I saw that track it’s made me question things especially the sounds I’ve heard out there.

Using trail cams for the last 12 years. They give off a lot of scent themselves. You can smell the plastic, electronics and the batteries especially when they are new. And the sasquatch more than likely have a nose as good as a bear or a blood hound. And so they may avoid them from smell alone

That doesn’t surprise me one bit and kinda what I’ve though. I know if I’m 240lbs whatever it was was a lot damn bigger than me based on how deep that print was compared to mine. Def wouldn’t want to cross paths with one without a gun.
It almost seemed like they were running from us cause the track was fresh like we pushed them across the river.
In all the other places I’ve hunted I’ve never heard the wood on wood knock though. Almost like they were trying to scare us off or something.

Thank you for everything you do with the bigfoot community, I have been a believer since I was young and saw some thing I couldn't really explain... In hindsight I know what it was...
So I was in St cloud Florida, narcoosee rd area, late 80's, My aunt's large pit bull had come home injured. And we thought it was a panther or a bear. But this Dog It was no Pushover.
Couple of days later I go out with my bb gun. I had never gone that far, and I reached a clearing. It was about 40 to 50 yds to the other tree line. Pretty much waist to chest high light brown wispy grass between me and the other tree line.
I stepped out of the tree line, and saw a large black human figure. Twice as tall as the grass, and I locked eyes with it and thought it was the Grim Reaper... but no scythe... Frozen in fear, about 10 seconds went by and it squatted down... Still taller than the grass but blended in well with the tree line just behind it... I still couldn't move...
It then made a low growly sound that I felt. It was loud and it came from right there, I finally bolted into the tree line. I stopped about 10' in and looked back, and it got up and took 2 or 3 steps And vanished...
I tried to tell my aunt and my mom what I saw and they said it was just a bear. But in hindsight, we were 40 miles away from any major city, and I really think I saw one... There was a Large drainage canal which is still there that runs East to West, Back then there was nothing until I 95... But I have never been that scared since.... True story! Respect

The grass on my body was chest high, And The way The shoulder and head were was hard to see detail, but it was really wide, I thought it was like a cloak or something, but the Eyes, I Was staring where I thought that They would be, And it Turned its head slightly and I saw them and they were about the size of tennis balls so it seemed... Then it squatted, But it was at least 8-9ft high, and Frozen in fear, then it let loose a growling noise...
The head and shoulders was hairy but kinda blended around the eyes nose. The chin was almost shiny without hair, some visible protruding cheek bones, with the tennis ball size eyes... it's burned into my brain

My name is Kelly H, I was raised in Cumberland County nova scotia Canada.
My 1st encounter was approximately August Of 1975. My mother's cousin David Henwood took my mother myself and my 2 sisters to his camp at one of his blueberry fields at a place called Crick hill just outside of Parrsboro Nova Scotia.
I remember the day very clearly. It was a Beautiful sunny summer day and the camp was located about fifty yards in the woods on the opposite side of a blueberry field. It was down in a wash out, that camouflaged it to the point that you could only see the roof at a distance. and you had to walk down a steep set of stairs to the front door and you could not get in between the back wall of the camp and the sheer cliff face at the back. There was a small freshwater spring that ran out from under the camp. I remember pretending to fish with a piece of thread and safety pin.
That was when I started hearing the whistles from a distance. But it didn't sound like a bird or a human. I went to the front of the cabin to climb the stairs out of the gully when Dave decided to go with me and take my sisters for a walk. My youngest sister couldn't walk at the time so Dave was carrying her and holding my older sister's hand following me to find the whistle. That was when we walked round an extremely large old growth pine tree Approximately 20 yd from the camp that seemed to be about 10 feet wide.
When I walked around the tree there was a large hairy creature standing on two legs up against the tree covered with Cinnamon colored long hair approximately eight or ten inches long. It was so tall and wide I never got to see much other than the hairy leg I almost walked into. That was when Dave grabbed my sister and I under his arms and ran back to the camp.
Later that night was when the screaming and tree shaking started. My mother tried to tell us that it was only bear's fighting but it didn't sound like any animal I have ever heard in my life. it continued off and on all night long. We were huddled terrified in the middle of the camp all night but I was a curious child and when the sun starting to rise, I had to look out the back window to see what it was. the camp was only about a foot or so away from the cliff face and the top of the cliff was approximately one foot above the roof of the camp.
When I looked up, I could see the trees shaking violently but you couldn't see any animals fighting. Once the sun came up everything went quiet. After several hours we left the camp and never went back. It was around that Time the camp burnt down. Or so I was told because we never went back.
My 2nd encounter was Approximately June 2011. A couple of miles south of Amherst Nova scotia Also in Cumberland County. My friend and I were on our regular weekend quadding trip when we Decided to Explore a side trail at night that was next to a field we usually stopped at.
It went into the woods approximately twenty feet then Turned right paralleling the field then left heading in to a swampy overgrown area. We got our bikes stuck in the mud and we're raving our engine Very loud for a long time to get out of the mud. When we got back to the field, we were sitting on our bikes drinking a beer listening to music when we suddenly heard a large branch break. We shut the music off and looked in that direction where the noise came from. That's when we realized it came from About twelve feet up a tree. So we quickly got out of there Without actually seeing anything.
The 3rd encounter was not quite an encounter but a discovery approximately Five hundred yards away from this was where we found a tree structure of broken branches piled around a tree like a cave. It wasn't Large enough to stand but had a front entrance then turned sharp left and wrapped around the tree Then maybe fifteen feet at the back of the tree. That's all I Have to say about that but I was told a story of a bigfoot Living in the area that was feeding on the garbage dump that was located in the same area during the Nineteen fifties and sixties. The rumor is that it attacked and clawed a child's face and the body of the creature was found at the dump Sometime later.
I can't say that it's proof of sasquatch in my eyes because I never truly seen anything but the hair. But I can say that in 50 years of being in the woods I have never seen another animal with the same color or texture of hair.

Hello, now that there are a lot of people talking about seeing a sasquatch, I was between 8 and 10 years old I used to go to this place with friends and my two brothers. that day I was alone, I wanted to pick berries and I came face to face with him. Good morning, this creature looks nothing like anything I had seen as a child. And I had asked my father the following weekend to go to the zoo to see all the animals. none had his size. nor the shape of his eyes. he smelled like an animal, he had darker hair on his chest and legs, his face was lighter. he had big lips, he doesn't look like a gorilla, I didn't see him walking, he was slightly crouched, he must have been 7 feet tall, his hands were like thick leather, small ears.
I thought he looked like a prehistoric man but covered in hair. yes a prehistoric man covered with hair. even today after all these years I have never, ever gone back to the woods, I have lived in town for a very long time and I have never taken a first floor apartment and you can verify that. I know that there is a species that still prowls.
This region is called the Appalachians, a region with large forests. I met him very close to the 132 road. In the region of Bellechasse Saint Raphaël. If one day you come I will show you.
There is a magnificent river, the forest is sublime, huge trees, easy to access. But I never went back to that exact place.
