Hi my name is Bo I would like to report a bigfoot experience 2 weeks ago in Mercer County off Nubins ridge road near Spanishburg. Before I start I would like to say before this I had watched videos and heard stories of "bigfoot" which I thought was a hoax and made up old stories and took it as a joke. until this day of our own personal experience.
My son and I who is 20 yrs old was doing squirrel hunt together to get out in the woods to spend time together and to get some last minute hunting in before season ended, as we are walking into the woods we hear a distinct whoop without the p sounding at the end which had carried out for what seemed like 20 to 30 seconds give or take but the sound was different from any animal I've ever heard or my son has ever heard."
Now grant you its hard to exactly explain these sounds through an email". We both stop and look at each other and my son said what was that? I joking laugh and say idk but it definitely wasn't and animal I've ever heard and he agrees as we're talking we hear a loud whoop twice back to back and seemed much much closer, it instantly gave me chills. I then looked at my son and said let's ignore it and go hunt we get to our hunting spots and the distance between him and I were probably 20 yards apart or closer. 10 to 15 mins pass the woods is dead silent which was odd to me...no birds chirping no squirrels seen or heard, nothing.
Then we both hear a loud knock which sounded like a baseball bat had struck a baseball at a fast rate of speed in a tunnel if you will. That's the best way I can describe it. I then turn to my son "we can see ach other" and with no sound communicated to each other with jesters, as if what was that? Not a minute later we smell this wet dog muddy water smell and hear the loudest whoop but strung out for a good 30 to 45 seconds If not longer it seemed, at or about the same time it ended a dead branch/stick was thrown our direction.
I hear my son say loudly "oh noooo" in a way of what in the world just happened. I immediately stand from my hunting chair and where we was setting was down a little hill/ravine about 10 to 15 yards from the top of the hill to a flat.
When I stood up I seen what still to this day doesn't compute with me, a large looking bipedal thing I don't know how else to say it. Almost like a gorilla on steroids but walking on 2 legs, it was a grayish brown in color. Long fury hair and bulky. It seemed 7 maybe 8 foot tall because I stand 6'5" and it was taller then me.
It disappeared so fast I couldn't process what I was seeing. I thought I was loosing it, until my son and I discussed this over and over. What we saw and heard and I knew what we had experienced. We end up packing up our hunting trip for the day and leaving.
On the way out we saw saplings bent over and twisted into each other as if it was a archway or like a bush made arbor.. Needless to say this has changed my belief on these things, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me. I thought you would like to know.

Yes this was in West Virginia.
The tree it was standing behind was around 18 inches in diameter and the tree covered just his right arm into his chest just a little bit. I would say at least 2 maybe 3 of me wide. I'm 6'5" and 265lbs, use to play football and be in the military. So I'm a pretty big boy, this thing made me look little. What freaked me out was the cone head, black eyes and flat nose. I had never seen anything like this ever and still haven't.

Hello, My name is Mark, I live in Grafton West Virginia, my bigfoot sighting happened in 1986 when I was visiting my grandparents in the Clay county. As I was driving back home after spending some hours with my grandparents.
It was around 4 to 5 pm, I had just exited the county and was driving in a road which was full of trees in both sides, I saw something jump out of the woods and landing directly in the middle of the road. I got spooked, I braked the car almost hitting the thing.
Almost immediately the thing let out a deep growl to the car and I got a glimpse of it, it was about 8 feet tall compared to the car, had a body that makes me think of a cross between a human and a orangutan. I mean it was shaped like an adult man but its ratios were exaggerated. Arms were too long, the legs had weird proportions, the torso was very wide. I couldn't see many facial details just that the eyes were red colored the nose was a human nose and the skin was light tan and had thick orange hair in the whole body like a orangutan as I said before.
The thing was hopping back and forth towards my car and beating his chest, but not like a gorilla, he was beating three times each time he hopped, like it was challenging the car or something like that, I didn't know what to do. I just hit the accelerator hoping to scare him and it worked.
I accelerated the car just some meters forward and this thing no joke ran to a tree and climbed it fast, and disappeared in the trees limbs, I just got out of there and got back home that day and kept thinking for months about this event, whatever that thing was, it was not a man nor an known animal, I believe I saw a bigfoot on that day, I hope you find this useful, thanks for taking your time and reading it.

I Just want to point a detail, when he climbed the tree he climbed faster than any ape or bear that I have ever seen, I’ve watched dozens of videos of chimps, gorillas and orangutan and black bear climbing trees, to see if anything matched what I saw and none of them were as fast or efficient as the bigfoot that i saw, i remember being baffled at how fast he moved in the tree at that huge size.

I have had 2 encounters, 1 with a sighting and I don't know where to report it.
It was October 2020 I think it was around the 13th roughly, In West Virginia. It was a full moon around around 9:30pm.
It was good light out and I went outside to walk my dog, I looked over to my right. I saw something walking up the side of the house, it stood around 7 and a 1/2 feet to 9' tall. It was black slightly matted hair. It had no neck and it was Like a very big Bodybuilder and the arms went down to about the knees.
I remember this eerie red Orange glowing eyes. It walked about 5 to 6' from me and it looked at me. Then continued walking up the front of the yard. And that's when me and my dog ran inside.

The 2nd one also in West Virginia, I was out hunting the the 5th day of the deer season. November 2021 8:30. And there was about 2 inches of snow on the ground.
I was hunting with someone and they was watching down the hill at an open area, and I was walking up this road on the property. I'm going about 90 yd away from them and up in the woods about 20 feet away from me, I heard big heavy footsteps walking and following me. When I stopped and looked back Into the Woods it would quit moving.
This happened about 3 to 4 times and the creature stepped on a big branch and made a loud snap in the woods. I also called out to check if there was no other hunters in the woods. I had no response and thats when I decide to get out of there Cause coyotes and Bear don't follow you. And there was nothing else moving in those woods.
Is it normal for one to stalk you in the woods?

From our experience there is usually a small family unit that live or travel.. 2 to 3 sometimes more...... So when you are in a territory with a family the Alpha Male or another male in the family or clan will escort or shadow visitors in the area... They woodknock , whoop and vocalize to warn the family of your movements to help keep them safe and let them know where you are.
And at times they will try to scare hikers or people out of a place they are using for whatever reason. More than likely to keep thier family safe.
I believe a bigfoot will actually intentionally show itself once in a while as a diversion so family members such as females with youngsters can escape an area unseen when they feel threatened.. These creatures know how dangerous humans can be.. So they would have to take every hiker into an area they use seriously.

So what should you do if you see a aggressive bigfoot?
RMSO responds
I would treat it like a grizzly bear.. Don't make direct eye contact and back away slowly.. Very, very rare for a bigfoot to actually attack or hurt a person.. The aggressive ones usually just want to intimidate and get you to leave.. So if you back away and leave, job done for it.

We stay within 1000 miles of where we all live.. Colorado and Utah.. This actually allows us to reasearch all of the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Northwest.. Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Wyoming, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington etc...
We do have collegues in Virginia that would be happy to research bigfoot sighting locations there, when they have the time to travel to West Virginia if your sighting report sparks thier interest.
Ill reach out to the ECBRO with your report and see if they are willing to reasearch the area near your sighting at some point in the future.

My sighting was about a mile from Dog Run Lake & around 10 to 15 miles from Watters Smith State Park.
Since I have the sighting the deer used to come out around 7 o'clock but after the sighting they don't come out till 8 o'clock or later and they don't come out into the yards until 9 to 10.

10 to 15 miles is actually really close for an animal out in the wild.
So the deer wait till it gets dark to come around now?

Yes, and they used to get in about 20 to 30 feet from me, and now you're lucky getting them 50 to 60 feet away.

Bill and his wife were on a walk in the forest near their property, when they had an encounter.
He was not a believer in Bigfoot until he had this encounter, stating.
"I was lucky enough to get a picture on a phone that I had. In the picture, you'll notice that he's already started to turn and walk back down. When he got completely out of sight he let out a call “Whoooooooah! ".
Humphrey also found large tracks measuring 16.5 inches long by 10 wide. He made a plaster casting of at least one of the tracks.
The Bigfoot was estimated to be around 8 feet tall.

Thanks for inviting me. I live in the heart of. Mothman Country. Mason Co Wv. myself. I have never seen Mothman. But a few has said they have. that live in Mason CO WV.
Now with that note. I Do remember growing up as a young man. when I was 10 years old. I always played in the woods of WV. in my Home Town of. Barboursville WV. we boys used to scout out the woods and play army a lot. but. I can remember.
One Evening. just before dusk me and Brian was in a pine thicket scouting out part of a hill top just above My home Town. He said listen. I didn't hear nothing. Then he said. Haul Ass. he took off. I followed him. we ran very fast down the hill to the town below on my way down I could sense something was on our tail. chasing us. I could hear the trees swinging behind us. and. as soon as we both got in a populated area. out of the woods we stopped running. I asked him,. Hay. Brian. what was that.
He said it had Red Eyes and it stood about 7 feet tall. and it was on two legs. while I was running down out of the woods I did hear a large grow but it. was not a high pitch grow. it was a low pitch growing I never forget this. I'm 49 years old. I have Remembered this since I was 10 But u actually didn't see what was chasing us. but I sure heard it. it was big. we both jumped over a 15 cliff to get away from it. yes that hurt as well.

Did he think it was a mothman? Red eyes and 7 feet tall is a common description of bigfoot.

No we both thought it was a big foot. We as kids at that time. Didn't know what Mothman was. But we knew of big foot in pictures. And tv at that time
It sounded like a cross between a D12 dozer and a very fast truck coming up behind us because I could hear the branches of big trees breaking behind me. Going down the hill. To the road.
We ran about 3 to 5 football fields. Just to get down off the top of the hill to the road where the houses was. Do this. Look up. Barboursville WV. And then look up. The street. Greenwood Way. That is the road we ran to. And the hill and woods adjacent to that greenwood Way is the hill we ran down. Their is a single house on top of that hill. And there is a pine thicket on the flat part on the other end of where that house is. That's where the chase started. It ended at the sharp S CURVE. ON Greenwood way. Take a look at it. On goggle maps.
Needless to say we didn't go in the woods after dark anymore.
I know it was scary. So scary I never forget about it. I'm 49 years old. So it's been nearly 40 years since it happened. To me and Brian.
