Very Close to 8 Feet Tall American Fork Sasquatch

I've fished American Fork Canyon for 30 years, mostly back packing up into the high streams near silver lake ect. I've heard and seen the back of one of these. I was 21 and super stupid, thinking it was a bear I followed it to get a pic for my dad( on my flip phone).
I got very close to it, im a smaller guy so Im very sneaky, growing up in the Mountains in Copperton helped me a lot. I heard it "pop"? like a mouth pop noise, and then just a thunder of a noise running away from me into the brush. Realizing black bears arent brown and red and 8 feet tall, I took off running and went home, didnt have the nerve to camp alone!
