I'm 51 now, in 1978 we lived in Columbus Mississippi. Buy the property border by now is the luxapalila tombigbee state park.
My birthday was June 8th I turn eight years old and I got a little honda xr75 dirt bike for my birthday. It was approximately two to three weeks after my birthday my older sister and one of her friends were going horseback riding back on the river banks.
She asked me if I wanted to go and I said only if I could ride my dirt bike. And then I thought about at the end of the Old Logging Road that gets back to the Riverbanks, he had to go down a steep embankment. And it scared me because I was still kind of afraid of the dirt bike. I had to put it on the kickstand to start it and then take off.
About 45 minutes to an hour later I got the courage to try to go find them. When I got to the end of the Old Logging Road I look down the embankment and it scared me. As I was turning around. I saw something step across the Old Logging Road which was approximately about 75 yd from me.
As I went by I looked into the woods and about 30 yards from me I saw something 7 to 8 ft tall extremely hairy and about 4 ft wide in the shoulders. And it terrified a 8 year old mean little boy lol, so I hit the throttle on a dirt bike.
And our house was about a half a mile away when I got to the house I jumped off the dirt bike, it ran into the side of the house . I ran in the house, my mom was in the kitchen and I told her that I saw Bigfoot.
I remember her looking down at me laughing saying it was some of the teenage boys around the area trying to scare me. That is a day I will never forget I can still see the creature in my mind . I never saw its face just the back of it.

I live near that state park and saw one literally months ago. I have had three encounters out here in Mississippi. One time I was hit in the head by a rock.
