When we were around 5 or 6 my bro & I saw 1 hiding behind our log cabin where my dad worked as a ranch hand..

Yes we did it was hiding right below our window sill. It was around 4 in the morning and I woke because I heard something outside in the garden. I saw the top of a head going back and forth under the window sill. Just note our window was 7 or 8 feet off the ground.
I woke my brother told him to keep quiet & look out the window he did. We kept quiet because our parents used to tell us stories scare us & say they kidnap kids lol.
But it's face was all hairy except around the eyes, nose & mouth. His skin was dark it did look human like but it had a wide nose & big lips.
We tried to wake our parents but they just told us to go back to bed.
Later on we told our Grandpa about it and showed him where he was standing he found a reddish brown hair stuck on a nail outside he said it doesn't look like any fur he knows of & he put it in his pocket. We thought that was weird he did that. We remember it like it was yesterday.

OK if you have any other details you would like to add let me know. You said Central British Columbia. What was the closest town, lake or mountain? Sorry so many questions. Nice to have as close to location as witness is comfortable to divulge in order to track sighting locations better.

It was on a ranch maybe 30 minutes west of a small community of Alexis Creek & 1 and a half hours West of the city of Williams Lake, BC.
