That's one hell of an account, Kelly. I hope they return to that area and have additional reports. Wonder what stacked those rocks in #4 of your photo sequence above?
ReplyDeleteKelly - You probably already know this - "Jarbidge" is a name derived from the Shoshone language meaning "devil".[6] Indians believed the nearby hills were haunted.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the definition always knew "Tsawhabitts" Was Cannibal Giants in Shoshone & often wondered where they came up with Jarbidge
DeleteI lived about 75 miles from jarbridge an spent lots of time hunting in the desert around my home. I was walking a sandy gully looking for deer and saw a set of barefoot prints cross it and I thought what idiot would be out in this cactus and sticker desert barefoot. It just didn't dawn on me those weren't human prints because they were normal size.
ReplyDeleteWhen you say "Indians" you're implying ALL natives believe whatever it is you're referring to. That just isn't always the case, we all have similar beliefs but they differ just as much. Also different Tribes have different languages, customs and beliefs. Those of the Shoshone aren't the same as those of the Ojibway. Just a heads up is all. Btw, Mihs-ta-payo is Cree meaning "big man" when referring to "Bigfoot", different than what the Shoshone,Sioux,Crow, Gros-Venture refer to him as. Mihs-ta-payo is pronounced miss-taw-pay-o
