One time during the 90s I was going to Christmas Valley about 70 miles east of Portland Oregon, there is a weigh station for trucks just before the exit to cascade locks, I was talking to the weight master who called me in to the station building (he was bored) I told him where I was going and he said to get off at the next exit, and go south on the big hill
I was only going 20 mph on packed snow and out of the corner of my eye I saw something moving on the side of the road, this Bigfoot stopped right on the road in front of me, it was very tall as I was eye to eye in a international eagle truck (10 foot off the road) it looked right into my truck and took off down the hill.
When I finally got to the bottom there was a truck stop called wild bills, I went in and sat down in the restaurant. The waitress came over and asked if I saw a ghost, I said no but you wouldn't believe me if I told you. She said try me, so I told her. She said everybody driving up there sees it.

It was at least 10 feet tall, I was driving a cab over tractor truck, that was a very high truck setting in the drivers seat I was 8- 9 feet off the ground. Look at the first remake of the planet of the apes, the (good ape) this is a dead ringer.
I had a experience in Wyoming (was a trucker for 12 years) back to Wyoming, I was going from Toledo Ohio to Alberta Canada, the interstate was just finished on hw84 ,nothing as in way of fuel stops food etc, it was desolate, winter real cold, well as my luck goes my air buzzer for low air pressure (brakes), just before I left 2 days ago, the mechanic said he changed the water filter for the air system , well they lied, now I'm stopped on the side or the road, I get my coveralls on and grab a fuse (to heat the air line up) I'm laying on the side of the road heating the air line up to melt ice inside the lines, with a flair that s bright enough to see from space probably, all of a sudden i hear footsteps in the crunchy snow, it was defiantly on two legs, it was then the ice melted and the buzzer went off, lol i was in the truck with t my coveralls on but thats ok, I was getting out of there, I know what I heard.

Unfortunately this isn't a recent sighting, but like I said above, it forever changed how I feel about the BF issue. I know that they are among us in the mountains.
This sighting happened in the winter of 1992. I was traveling from Mt. Shasta to Portland and we decided to take the back way (I15 to, I believe, highway 97, to highway 58) We had just passed the Willamette Ski Resort and had to pass a small bridge over the first creek or small river after the resort. I was sitting in the drivers side as It was my turn to drive and it was just after the sun went down in the mountains. My daughter and husband at the time were dozing.
The BF was standing on the right side of the road and It looked as though it had come from the creek (or small river. I can't remember what the name of it was, but it was the first bridge over water after the Willamette resort) as I could see it perfectly step up from the side of the bridge and then stand up to full height.
At first my brain registered it as a brown bear. But as it stood up to full height my brain panicked. I immediately registered it as BF. His eyes also glowed the moment it stood up with it's face in the light of my headlights, like a cat's eyes glow. Nothing came to mind, other than " that's a BF". It was perfect, it was huge and I was scared. I increased my speed and never looked back.
Years earlier my grandfather had built a house at the base of Mt. Shasta up from town. He took in a scared camper one night. The camper came knocking on the door in the middle of the night in a terrible fright. He told my GF that a BF had terrorized his camp and followed him to my GF's house. He asked for refuge for the night which my GF gave him.
I trust that my GF had told me the truth about the story but thought the camper had imagined a BF, instead of a large animal. Thus I was a fence sitter.
After my own sighting though, I feel the man was telling the my grandfather the truth. The BF that I saw was brown. Definitely brown. I didn't notice any variation of color, except for the face, it was a lighter color. The eyes were large and in the dark, with the glow of the light, I am sure they looked bigger than they actually were.
The details of the rest of the face are a blur after all of these years, but the eyes have always stayed with me. I am 5 foot and he was the largest humanoid/animal I have ever seen. It put me in immediate panic to see something so large that my car was passing so close to. When I say that it changed the way I think about things, I mean it. Now, anything is possible.

The headline did not appear when this happened. The story was kept quiet up until discovery by noted author Zane Grey.
This event happened in 1922. Almeda Mine on the Rogue River in Oregon employed around 250 miners South of Galice, Oregon. During the Spring, five miners decided to search for their own gold. They went down river to find riches of gold. Two weeks of not finding gold, four of them decided to return to Galice hoping to be re-hired at the Almeda Mine.
Only one miner made it back. He claimed two giant "Ape-Men" attacked them.
"Giant Forest Monsters" killing his friends!
A search party was dispatched in order to stop these reports of wild tales, afraid the rest of the miners would quit working for the mine. Searchers found the attack site after a week of arriving, they found two of the miners.
The report stated, The miners had been killed by a savage attack from an unknown animal. The third man was never found, but part of his pants and his hat were among some enormous sized footprints all around the men's bodies.
The party returned to the mine with the dead men's packs, and the foreman told them to keep quiet about their discovery or "lose their jobs" Since the Almeda paid well, no one talked.
The lone survivor disappeared and the story wasn't reported to the public until the famous author Zane Grey, who owned a remote cabin 15 miles along the river from Almeda Mine.
He heard about the incident. Did some research, found enough evidence to make an interesting story. This is an article found on several Bigfoot blogs & media sites.

Hey guys my name is Brandon D I'm 28 years old in may of 2012 my family and I were at my grandparents floathouse with them on Tahkanitch lake on the Oregon coast. Its between Florence and Redsport.
On the first night we seen a black bear at around 9 pm kinda strange time for a bear but the 2nd night I was sitting around the fire pit cat fishing and I hear what I thought was my grandpa hammering something. It was loud I could hear it over the generator, so I went around the dock inside and everyone looked at me and asked me what I was fixing. I said umm that wasn't me, so me and my wife step out to smoke a cigarette and I hear a branch snap.
So I turned on my head lamp and pointed it across the cove about 60 yards and we can see 2 huge blueish green eyes staring at us and I know what cougar eyes look like and bear eyes. They were spaced apart a good distance more than a bear or cougar and about 2 mins later it stood up grabbed a tree branch and walked off. From what I could see it was about 7.5 to 8 ft tall.
Now I was out their in the beginning or April 2014 with 4 of my friends and we where playing music and laughing and having a good time. Then something threw a rock on the roof of the house I don't know what, I didn't see anything. But last I checked bears don't throw rocks and neither do any other kind of animals. And we are 2 miles out on the lake and the only way there is by boat or hike over the mountain. And it was midnight so I don't think it was a person .
Then June 15 2014 I had my wife my son and daughter and 3 of her friends out their all teenagers 13 years old except Sydney she was 12. I was cat fishing and I heard my wife and daughter and her friends scream, so I ran around the dock and 40 feet away is an 7 or 8 foot tall hairy creature standing there staring at us. 6 people seen this, if it was a murder case and 6 people said they seen it case closed right. Greetings, how you doing? Hey, just to let you know, i actually saw a tall scrawny juvenile Bigfoot, I think. It definitely wasn't human btw, but they DO seem like an "offshoot" man like wild hominid of sorts. That said, I think the reason I saw it was that I wasn't looking for it - it happened by chance.
Anyway, if you are interested in hearing my story - get a hold of me. Ps: I remember the EXACT location where I saw the creature dashing across the hwy. What an experience!

Okay, here goes. I was driving south on I-5 freeway at approximately 7 pm, I had to get gas and I got off an exit for gas something like a hr from grants pass Oregon. Anyway, I was driving my mom home from WA heading south bound we we're arguing about why i got lost and headed north around a mile. Then I found the right on ramp and I was driving again so bound on I-5.
Anyway, I said why don't we have a cigarette as we calmed down. Then mom was looking for a misplaced lighter and there I saw a large dark colored creature dashing across the freeway northeast as if in hunting mode. At least that's what I thought. But I think it was investigating me! It was looking, or dashing towards my van diagonally across the freeway! I was really trying to see it but all I noticed was it had a short 'no neck' feature, also, it was scrawny and I guess a bit over 7'+ TALL , but it was extremely coordinated. Or in had a total graceful run...
I was yelling, " mom, mom, look Bigfoot is running across the hwy!" Sadly she did not see it. Oh, and I damn near hit it! I swear to God I saw it's thigh and torso, but it's head must have been taller than my gmc safari van as I braced for impact - it barely cleared my bumper!
And get this, Bigfoot actually must have strided right over a concrete median! I swear to God strike me dead I tell you the truth - Bigfoot is for real -period. I could take you to location if interested.
I think I got lucky seeing it! I also believe - reason I got lucky was because I wasn't looking for it. It was a chance exp / encounter. But it definitely cleared any doubts I ever had of Bigfoot being a hoax. Honestly, it was sort of frightening!

I think I might go back to location to see if there's any tracks, hairs or any evidence I could find. It was near a creek I do know that for sure. Well, I had jotted down land marks, sign posts etc...Anyway, I told my story to a gal smokin a cig- just to clear my head.
Anyway, she believed me and also told me her son claims he saw one pick up road kill (deer) throw it over it's shoulder and go back into the woods at or near Oregon caves. Wow! If ever I'd go there I'd bring my 30/30 as backup as I definitely would feel safer.
But i definitely would not want to harm bf at all. But i might if it attacked. I'd do a warning shot first to scare it away. If this doesn't work i would have to shoot it dead. That being said, I don't want to kill Bigfoot so I haven't gone out yet. I'm sorta busy right now with my own life -otherwise I'd possibly be checking out that creek I saw Bigfoot dash across hwy.
Anyway, I was amazed at Bigfoot's graceful dash, I was amazed at it's scrawny but coordinated fitness, and - the hair! It was sorta shaggy, dark, but had either lighter brown, or reddish hairs as my vans lights made it look so.

Silverton, Oregon 1996...watched a female Sas a full minute, about 30 yards away. Took my breath away when she stood straight up and stared at me for a long 10 seconds. She ducked into a space behind a large boulder, and I ran for the car.
The family was out target shooting for my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday. We had 2 of her best friends and my son with us. I was the Sunday School teacher at church. I said nothing to anyone for years. I could take you to the spot even today. I always knew they had to be out there.

I don't know anyone personally that will admit to seeing one. My friend base isn't very big. I'm sure there must be sightings by some of the Silverton residents. We live further into the valley and city area, away from the hills we were shooting in. The logging roads up in the Silverton hills go on for many miles. Hunting is good up there.

Perhaps the sound of the target practice shots got the bigfoot up and moving and helped create the conditions for your sighting

We had been shooting for over an hour. Took a break to find an out of the way bush or gully to relieve my bladder. I was about 100 yards from the car, and around a bend in the gravel road. I felt very uncomfortable trying to find some privacy. It felt like I was being watched. If I had continued another 20 yards down the road, I likely would have bumped into the sas.
She was beautiful. Gold brown hair that was at least 10 inches long. It swayed with every step she took. She was on all fours just loping along on a tiny path at the base of a hill, about 30 yards away from where I stood.
She was an older adult that obviously had nursed more than one baby over the years. Between 7 and 8 feet tall. When she got to the end of the little trail, she stood up on two feet and climbed straight up the side of the hill like a man climbing a wide ladder. Her feet and hands were not strained doing this. She didn't miss a beat.....stood up on a ledge next to a boulder near the top of the hill, and turned around and stared me down........well, I know what I saw, and it was not a bear. I honestly thought it was a person at first. But something was just off. It was very big as I’m actually far away from this hillside but I could see it from where I was before I even started recording on my phone. To me, it looked very tall, long arms that swayed towards its rear when it walked, the way it “freezes” when it stops is weird, it’s all black to me, the strides I feel like are big to be noticeable from that far. The atmosphere was very off feeling. Idk how to describe it. I could feel it looking at us. Huge sense of being watched. The shoulders looked very wide. I see it look a bit wobbly at first, but it also looked like it was limping? Completely unsure. I don’t know a lot of info of Bigfoot so it made me highly curious what I encountered. I don’t believe it was a person. They’d blend more to the hillside or I wouldn’t be able to see them at all, I think they’d look tiny not as prominent as this was. I walked a small distance, looked back within 2 minutes and it was completely gone.

How much longer did you watch the figure after you finished filming?
And what is over there? Is is brush, grass, rocks. It seems to be traversing uneven terrain?

Not much, I stopped recording, finished parking my car. We got out, I could see it still, but wasn’t moving, we walked maybe 2 car lengths, so a matter of 2 min (if that) went to look again and it was completely gone. We both could not see it. The atmosphere felt off and I felt watched still so we got back in the car and drove back down towards the campgrounds.
I haven’t been on that side but if it’s the same as the side I’m on, it’s very uneven, very steep, rocky… I actually went back today and took a video from the road all the way around for a better idea of the environment. Let me know if that helps any thing ?

Something the really intrigues me is, You are in a remote location near a closed camp ground. You do the panoramic video and no other cars. What ever is in your video did not drive there.

Nope!! It was just me and my daughter here. When you see the closed gates, you can walk beside those and it goes into a river that we like to walk too. That’s where we were originally heading. Behind these initial mountains are just more and more mountains.
Bottom of that mountain is the river. It almost seems it was heading down to it or coming up from it.

We think you caught a sub adult or juveniles sasquatch out in the open. Some of the frames in the video its arms are to long to be human.
It has different tones of color in the legs and hips etc.. Just like a gorilla or a bear. That is not how suits are made.

That’s a great point! I wasn’t sure if it could be slight color changes or sticks from the trees blurred in.
That is so crazy!! Does the atmosphere change when you’re in the presence of one? I’ve gone to the mountains my whole life (in Montana) and I’ve never felt that strange, almost heavy, being watched, feeling before.

That’s the perfect word for how it was!
Everything was fine all day. Driving in. I saw it from the bottom of the road when driving in initially, the black stuck out on that hillside. First thought was just another person. So I didn’t pay attention to it. But it was still. So we went to park but I needed to turn my car around. So I turned towards the mountain (like you can see my car in the panoramic) and it felt huge. Tall and wide. I knew it was looking at us, just a feeling. I tried pointing to my daughter cuz she couldn’t see through the trees (she’s 9) so that’s when I pulled my phone out and zoomed in (you can hear me telling her where to look on my phone as I used my thumb to show her on the screen) she said “what is that?” -which should’ve been my first clue it must not look human if she didn’t know what it even was. I said human and ended the recording. Finished flipping my car around. We got out to walk to the river anyways, I could still see him there, still like he was at the end of the clip, we walked maybe 2 car spaces, so maybe 2 min or less, looked again and it was gone. The air felt beyond still, maybe thick?, like we were being watched and definitely foreboding. So we got back in my car and left back down.

In our experience there is rarely just one. There may have been another one or two down at the creek or had already traversed over the top of the mountain.
So you may have had more than one set of eyes on you that day.

Maybe that’s why it felt so heavy feeling, more than one.
I’ll be honest, I was never big into Bigfoot. I didn’t doubt they existed because I think we are fools to think there isn’t something living in these massive mountains that we don’t know about. But it’s like the paranormal, some believe and some think you’re absolutely crazy lol. I absolutely believe paranormal because I’ve had many many experiences my whole life. Bigfoot didn’t spark my attention the way paranormal does but my dad is very big on Bigfoot. So I know a few things, not a lot. Once I realized my video and it was more beastly than human and started thinking about how big it actually was- I sent to him. He absolutely believes that it was not human and that it’s a high possibility I’ve just encountered one. So that’s when I posted out to get other opinions and it’s almost like a definite feeling of I know what I saw that day, the feeling outside of my car, and it’s sparked a massive interest in me to start researching and learning more about them.
