Often referred to as "The River of No Return" the Salmon river makes its way into the Pacific Ocean after it empties into the Columbia River. The river has several species of trout & salmon.

Even though Bull Shark are known to travel hundreds of miles up rivers & live in fresh water, they are the only known species of shark to be able to survive outside of salt water. Leading experts to think the shark had human help to get so far inland as the river shores of Idaho.
Salmon sharks are known to get up to 10 feet in length & can weigh over half a ton. Typically found in the Pacific Ocean near Alaska, but will travel as far south as California & Mexico.
The dead shark is being stored in a freezer at the Rapid River Hatchery
